March 29 and April 12 . Meet in the Cumberland Village Park parking lot by 08:50 to be sorted into groups. Be ready to head out at 09:00 More Information to follow
Well, for one thing they are free to participants. It is a very good idea to join us for our 'fam' runs for those runners who have yet had a chance to experience the Cumberland Hills or have raced with us. We especially want to encourage our youth to join us accompanied by an adult. It is a fun time to meet fellow runners. The Cumby organizing committee is all about safety in the hills and we want our racers to know what they are signing up for on May4. Come and join us.
There will be group leaders and sweeps to lead Full Cumby, Half Cumby and Quarter Cumby runners. Within those groups will be 2 - 3 levels of self selected running ability. All are welcome.
April 6
Quarter Cumby - We plan to run the whole 7.5 km
Half Cumby - We plan to run 10 - 12 km of the Half Cumby course
Full Cumby - We plan to run 16 - 18 km of the Full Cumby course
April 20 (two weeks from race day)
Quarter Cumby - We plan to run the whole 7.5 km
Half Cumby - Be prepared to run the whole Half Cumby course
Full Cumby - Be prepared to run the Full Cumby course but we can find you a safe way back to the parking lot at 18 km
The familiarization runs are not considered training runs. It is an opportunity to get to know the routes and understand that the Cumby is a wilderness event. Please stay behind the leader.
